Why this business exists
The exterior cleaning trade has a low barrier to entry. Anyone can buy a pressure washer on a Saturday and start knocking on doors Monday, and plenty of people do. That is why so many homeowners in this area have a story about striped concrete, furred cedar, dead hedges along a foundation, or mortar washed out of a brick joint.
Almost none of that damage comes from bad intent. It comes from not knowing that concrete, cedar, shingle, stucco, and hundred-year-old brick are five different jobs that happen to use some of the same equipment. The pressure that makes a driveway look excellent will destroy everything else on that list.
Armor Shine was built around getting that part right, consistently, on every property, whether the job is a driveway or a full estate exterior.

The standard we hold
Four rules. They are not marketing lines — they are the order the work happens in, on every property, every time.

Protection before chemistry. Chemistry before pressure. Every bed pre-saturated, every sensitive planting covered, every fixture protected before a drop of solution is applied. This is the step that gets skipped when a crew is trying to fit in one more job, and it is the source of nearly every complaint in this industry.

The right method for the surface, not the fastest one. Soft washing on siding. Surface cleaner on flatwork with the edges hand-detailed. Reduced pressure and a neutralizing brightener on wood. Hand-applied brightener on gutter faces. We do not have one setting.

An honest read on what we can and cannot do. Some oil stains will lighten rather than disappear. Some cedar has weathered past the point where cleaning brings the color back. Some paint is already failing and washing it will show you that. You will hear all of it before the work starts, not after.

A walkthrough at both ends. We start by walking the property with you and we finish the same way. If something is not right, we would rather correct it while the truck is still in your driveway.

The rig
You will know when we arrive
Most exterior cleaning outfits pull up in a hatchback with a consumer pressure washer from a big-box store. We built something else.
Our rig is a Hummer carrying a custom-fabricated skid unit — the tank, pump, engine, reels, and chemical injection built as one integrated system rather than assembled out of parts in a parking lot. It runs a full-size American flag and an Armor Shine flag off the back, and it is not subtle about it.
The flags are the fun part. The reason it matters is capacity. We do hook to your outdoor spigot — every crew does — but a spigot alone cannot feed a commercial pump, so the water goes into the buffer tank first and the pump draws from the tank. That is what keeps pressure steady all the way through the job instead of surging every time the house calls for water. Add extended reels that reach the back of a large lot without dragging hose across your landscaping, and a pressure range wide enough to go from chemistry-only on a stucco elevation to full output on a driveway without swapping equipment or making a second trip.

The name
What the name means
Armor is a protective layer, maintained deliberately, inspected regularly, and taken seriously by the people responsible for it. That is the idea the brand is built on: discipline, precision, and protecting something worth protecting.
To be clear about what we are not claiming — Armor Shine is not a veteran-owned business, and we do not suggest otherwise. The military influence here is about operating standards and attention to detail, not about service history. We think the distinction matters enough to state plainly.
